How to add a Facebook Like Button to a Blog Post

Tweet The Like button lets your blog readers share your content with their friends on Facebook. When someone clicks the Like button on your blog, a story appears in the user's friends' News Feed with a link back to your website.  It's a great way for friends of friends of friends to find your blog :-)

Ever wondered how to add a Facebook Like Button to your Blogger Post just like the one above?

It's super easy.  Just go to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like and paste the URL of the post to "like" and then click "get code"

A pop-up will appear with your code.  Copy the iframe code and paste in the HTML of your blog post wherever you want it placed, usually at the beginning or end of the post.

How To Make a Tutu

PS.  I've also heard that using a cloth elastic headband works great for the waistband.  At least that's what a mom at storytime told me :-)

50's Themed Adult Birthday Party

Tweet My parents both turned 65 this month just 3 days apart so since this was a pretty big birthday for them, I decided to throw them a 50's diner themed birthday lunch.

Menu: 

Hamburgers
Toppings Bar (lettuce, tomato, onion)

French Fries

Milkshakes

Potato Chips

Red Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

I picked up some old records at the Goodwill store for $0.59 each as used them as chargers under our paper plates . 

I also got some 50's theme decorations at the Party Store and hung record-garland around the room along with some giant Rock and Roll signs and big guitars along with a big cutout of a jukebox. 

My favorite detail of the party was that we lined the room with old photos of Mom and Dad from the 50's and 60's.  It was really fun to see them walk around the room looking back through time.

French Fry Bags:  I got red paper lunch bags from Wal-mart and just cut off the top and added a little Diner logo.

Milkshakes were served out of Coca-Cola glasses I got at the Dollar Store.

Beautiful record-player cake that my brother and sister-in-law made with fondant.

Maternity Halloween Shirt

Tweet I first spotted this over at Someday Crafts and I thought this was too cute not to share.  Check out this adorable DIY maternity shirt that Lynette at Get Your Craft On cooked up.  If I am ever pregnant during Halloween, you better believe I'll be making myself one of these.  So stinkin cute!

If you're not a do-it-yourselfer, or can't find the iron-on, you can purchase this online.  Too freakin' cute!

Cute DIY Maternity Shirt

Tweet This is a cute, inexpensive gift idea for your favorite preggo.     I bought a similar tank when I was pregnant at a boutique and they are so easy to make, now I love giving them to all my knocked-up friends. 

Supplies Needed:
Cotton Maternity Shirt (I got this one at Motherhood Maternity for $14)
Iron-On Letters such as Dritz� Iron On Letters & Numbers - White  (I got mine at Michael's for $4)

Iron
Scissors

1) Cut out the letters to make the words "Head, Foot, and Tush" and arrange them on the shirt.  I looked up the correct position that babies are typically in during the 3rd trimester and placed them accordingly.  Oh yes, I did.

2) Press firmly with a hot iron on wool setting and let sit on each word for approximately 15 seconds.  Do this a couple of times.

3) Let cool and then peel off the backing of each letter and you're done!  Super Cute maternity shirt.

This is such a great deal.  For the last 2 years, I've bought 10 books.  That means I get to have 100 frosties for $0.10 each.  SCORE!  The junior size frosty is the absolute perfect size for a special treat for yourself or your little one. 

According to Livestrong there are approximately 170 calories in a Junior Size Frosty (6 ounces).  Not too bad. 

No joke, I usually go through the drive-thru and order 10 at a time and stick them in my freezer.  They last for a month or two.  I bring my cooler.  No joke, I have no shame.

Toddler Ice Cream Birthday Party

The perfect toddler-size picnic Table that my Handy Husband constructed for our daughter's Pancakes and Pajamas Party.  The table was such a hit, it's being passed around the playgroup for parties.

And last but not least, the cute Bday girl with her ice cream cone shirt.  This was from Etsy but Amanda said she couldn't give the shop a recommendation due to poor communcation and order speed.  It did turn out adorable though!

The Pancake Guy from Rachael Ray

Tweet I was flipping channels yesterday when I came across Jim, the Pancake Guy on Rachael Ray and I couldn't believe my eyes!  This Mommy LOVES Jim the Pancake Guy!!!

Now you all know how much my little one loves Pancakes,  (You don't?  Well that's ok, I'll refresh your memory.  Take a look at her recent Pancakes and Pajamas Party) so imagine my delight when I saw Jim making the most amazing Pancakes...more like works of art.
